The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Vilardi at 7:00 P.M.
Minutes: Motion made by Mrs. Foster, seconded by Mr. Ellis, to accept the minutes of the last meeting. Motion PASSED – Ayes – 5, Nays – 0. Voting aye – Vilardi, Ellis, Foster, Conway, Schlicht.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Mr. Chartrand gave a brief general report. Motion by Mrs. Foster, seconded by Mr. Conway, to approve budget transfers. PASSED – Ayes – 5, Nays – 0. Voting aye – Vilardi, Ellis, Foster, Conway, Schlicht.
ZONING REPORT: No report.
HIGHWAY REPORT: •A letter was received from National Grid regarding upgrading the lighting. It would cost $5,400, of which National Grid would pay only $1,500. No interest at this time.
Mrs. Vilardi received the fire district fuel checks.
There was a split buoy which will cost $400, split with DeRuyter.
The Highway employees will start working 4 10-hour days for the summer.
NEW BUSINESS:
DeRuyter Lake Fence: Three quotes were obtained for the fence work: one from Whitmore, Hoover and Home Depot. Motion by Mr. Conway, seconded by Mr. Ellis, to accept the fence work by Whitmore for $5,334. This would be split with the Town of DeRuyter, leaving the Town of Fabius’ share being $2,677.
Truck Bids: The following truck bids were opened by Mrs. Vilardi: Springwater Farms for $6,100; Penn Hazel Equipment for $3,577; Dado’s Equipment for $9,276; and Barbland Dairy for $7,500. Mr. Schlicht suggested holding off until next month so he can contact someone at the County to determine a value for the truck.
OLD BUSINESS:
Sales Tax – Mrs. Vilardi explained the County Executive is looking into a way to gradually decrease the revenues to the Town so it won’t be such an abrupt change. Our tax revenue for 2010 was $457,000.

Motion by Mrs. Foster, seconded by Mr. Conway, to pay the bills on Abstract #3 in the following amounts:
Highway Fund Vouchers 30 through 41 $ 14,820.11
General Fund Vouchers 58 through 85 $ 31,097.11
Motion PASSED – Ayes –5, Nays – 0. Voting aye – Vilardi, Schlicht, Ellis, Foster, Conway.
The next regular meeting will be Monday, May 17, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Fabius Area Community Center.
